Bushey combines the town of Bushey Heath and Bushey Village with a fascinating mixture
of architecture, which reflects its rich cultural and artistic heritage and has
the additional benefit of being close to the countryside of south Hertfordshire
with its numerous country parks, woodlands and waterways for local residents to
appreciate and enjoy. The Royal Masonic School has been used for many TV dramas
and films, including all the Harry Potter films.
These picturesque commuter towns are situated on the edge of green belt land North
West of London and are surrounded by the attributes of commuter living but benefiting
from a more refined position with a cosmopolitan atmosphere equivalent to many large

Shopping
Bushey Village and Bushey Heath have thriving shopping parades with the usual local
shops but also supermarkets, ladies boutiques and numerous hair and beauty shops.
John Whiteman and Company has three offices located in prominent positions in both
shopping districts.
Bushey is within 1.5 miles of Watford Town Centre and the well-known Harlequin Shopping
Centre, Watford Market and High Street and Brent Cross Shopping centre is approximately
20 minutes away by car.
Tesco supermarket is within 1 mile of Bushey Village, Sainsburys and Asda are
located close to the Dome roundabout approximately 2 miles away. A large B&Q Warehouse,
Comet, Halfords, PC World, Mothercare World along with other out of town retailers
are situated in the Watford Arches retail park close to the Tesco supermarket.
Education
There are a number of private schools within the five-mile radius including the
well-regarded Haberdashers' Aske's and Merchant Taylors for the senior pupils with
York House School and others for the junior pupils. Watford Grammar School for Boys
and Watford Grammar School for Girls constantly achieve high scores in the national
league tables and have outstanding reputations in this location

Travel
Bushey benefits from excellent travel facilities including mainline rail link to
London Euston from Bushey Station and numerous local buses connecting to the adjoining
towns. There are Underground railway stations in Watford and Stanmore, which are
only short car journeys away. Junction 5 of the M1 is approximately 1.5 miles from
Bushey village and this provides access to junctions 19, 20 and 21a of the M25 motorway.

Leisure
With an abundance of high quality restaurants including St.James and The Alpine,
bars, beauty salons and two high quality leisure facilities including the famous
David Lloyd Club all providing a cosmopolitan atmosphere. There are several golf
courses within two miles of Bushey Village and The Grove hotel,
restaurant, golf and health spa is within five miles. The Top Golf computerised
golf centre is situated on the borders of Bushey and Watford . Elstree aerodrome
is in close proximity as well as numerous horse riding and equestrian venues with
liveried and non-liveried facilities.
There is a Vue leisure complex in nearby Garston with a multi-screen cinema, bowling,
Kidsports and further restaurants. The Palace Theatre is situated in central Watford
less than 3 miles away and provides a wide range of plays and dramas catering for
all tastes through out the year. There are four swimming pools open to the public
within Bushey and Watford .
